Summary

We are recruiting for the position of Vehicle Service Bookings Advisor on behalf of our client, a well-established, multi-franchise approved car dealership in Cardiff. This role offers an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking to develop a long-term career within the automotive industry. As a Vehicle Service Bookings Advisor, you will play a vital role in managing customer appointments, providing exceptional service, and supporting the efficient operation of the service department.

Duties of a Service Bookings Advisor:

- Handle incoming service department calls and enquiries

- Book customer vehicles for scheduled services and MOTs

- Manage and update service diaries across multiple brands

- Pre-prepare documentation in anticipation of customer appointments

- Provide clear pricing and obtain customer authorisation for services

- Upsell service plans and additional repairs following vehicle health checks

- Assist in creating a seamless customer experience, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

- Support workshop teams by prioritising and coordinating appointments

- Maintain accurate records of all bookings and customer communications

Requirements of a Service Bookings Advisor:

- Previous experience in a contact centre, service reception, or call-handling role within the motor trade is desirable but not essential

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional manner

- An interest in the automotive industry and a genuine desire to build a career in this sector

- IT literate and comfortable using booking systems and office software

- Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in writing

- Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively

- A proactive attitude and a team-oriented approach
