Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
Exceptional mathematics teaching can transform young people’s futures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to extend your specialist expertise across our schools in Suffolk, working in partnership with classroom teachers and contributing to the thriving mathematics community already established across our Trust.
Unity Schools Partnership is seeking an excellent mathematics teacher to lead a new and ambitious pilot across six of our secondary schools. This is not a traditional classroom role: you will take your subject expertise to where it is needed most, co-teaching alongside colleagues who teach mathematics but are not subject specialists, leading subject knowledge sessions and delivering hybrid lessons to pupils in two schools at the same time.
Your focus will be Key Stage 3—a crucial stage in pupils’ mathematical journeys, when they can build a rich and connected understanding of mathematics, grow in independence and motivation, and develop confidence for GCSE and beyond. You will work closely with the Trust Secondary Lead for Mathematics, who will line manage the role, and with Heads of Mathematics in each school. You will also be supported through our partnerships with the Angles and Cambridge Maths Hubs.
Your work will be evaluated and shared nationally, helping to shape how schools across the country respond to the shortage of specialist mathematics teachers. If you are a skilled, reflective teacher who wants your impact to reach well beyond a single department, we would love to hear from you.

• Wellbeing support and a Trust-wide professional development & wellbeing day
• A comprehensive benefits package
Commitment to safeguarding
Unity Schools Partnership is committed to safer recruitment, equal opportunities, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.
