Primary Teaching Assistant - Runcorn
Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Runcorn to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. This is a full-time, temporary position, offering a highly competitive daily rate and the opportunity to make a real difference to pupils' learning and development.The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You may provide one-to-one support, assist with small group interventions, and help pupils to access the curriculum both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom.
- Providing targeted support to individual pupils and small groups.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and resource development.
- Promoting positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
- Supporting pupils with additional needs where required.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children within a school, childcare, or educational setting.
- A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
