Class 1 Night DriverPay: £18 per hour for hours worked over 45 per weekBasic Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum; Based on 45 hours per weekShift: Monday to Friday, nightsJob Type: PermanentAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join our team on a Monday to Friday night shift.This is a straightforward driving role, with no manual handling involved. You will drive to a designated freight hub, where the vehicle will be offloaded and reloaded before you make the return journey.There can be a decent amount of waiting time at the hub while the vehicle is being loaded and unloaded, so it is important that applicants understand and are comfortable with the nature of the role.The role is suited to someone who enjoys driving, is comfortable working independently at night and is looking for consistent Monday to Friday work.Key ResponsibilitiesDriving a Class 1 vehicle to and from the designated freight hubCompleting overnight trunking work safely and professionallyEnsuring all relevant transport and road safety regulations are followedCarrying out appropriate vehicle checksMaintaining a professional standard when dealing with colleagues and hub staffReporting any issues or delays through the appropriate channelsWorking independently throughout the night shiftMaintaining all required CPC and driver complianceWorking Hours & PayMonday to Friday night shiftsApproximately 45 hours per weekThe basic salary is based on 45 hours per weekAny hours worked over 45 hours will be paid at £18 per hourA significant part of the shift may involve waiting/rest time at the hub while the vehicle is unloaded and reloadedRequirementsMinimum 1 year's Class 1 driving experience – essentialValid Class 1 (C+E) licenceValid CPC qualificationDigital tachograph cardComfortable working night shiftsAble to work independentlyReliable and professional approachPrevious experience driving buses or similar large vehicles will also be considered, provided the required Class 1 driving experience is met.Apply NowIf you're an experienced Class 1 driver looking for consistent night work with a straightforward trunking operation, apply today.
