Summary
To support students during their exams, and to ensure the smooth running of all external examinations.Key ResponsibilitiesTo read and scribe for students during their external examinations when requiredTo attend any training relevant to reading and scribing where availableTo assist with setting up exam venues by distributing exam stationery and papers in accordance with the Joint Council guidelinesTo ensure silence is maintained throughout the duration of the examinationsTo check attendance during examinations and record on the relevant documentCollect exam scripts at the end of the examination and return to the Exams DepartmentEnsure continuous development and improvement of professional knowledgeAny other duties, of a similar level of responsibility, as may be required.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseExperienceEssential CriteriaExperience of working in an education establishment Experience as a reader or scribeHow Identified: Application/ InterviewSpecialist KnowledgeEssential CriteriaAn understanding of the examination processHow Identified: Application/ Interview
