Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join the Women's Health team as a Band 6 Uro Gynaecology Nurse Specialist.

This will involve working in Uro Gynaecology clinics in Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover. 

The Urogynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist is a highly skilled autonomous practitioner responsible for providing specialist nursing care to women with complex urogynaecological conditions. Working within the Women's Health service, the post holder manages a caseload ofpatients,deliveringexpertassessment,treatmentplanning,patienteducation,andongoingclinicalsupportwhileensuringthehigheststandardsofcompassionate,patient-centredcare. 

The role combines clinical practice, leadership, education, and service development responsibilities. The post holder acts as a specialist resource for patients, carers, and multidisciplinary colleagues, contributing to the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based care across the urogynaecology pathway. They will provide expert adviceonbladderdysfunction,urinaryretention,cathetermanagement,continencecare,pessarymanagement,andrelatedspecialistinterventions,supportingpatientstoachievethebestpossiblehealthoutcomes.

• Manage anautonomouscaseloadofpatientswithcomplexurogynaecologicalconditions,providingspecialistassessment,treatmentplanning,caredeliveryandfollow-up. 

• Undertakecomprehensivepatientassessments,analysecomplexhealthinformation,anddevelopclinicallyreasonedtreatmentanddischargeplans

• Deliver specialistinterventionsandprovideexpertadviceonurogynaecologyandcontinence-relatedcare.

• Ensure highstandardsofpatient-centredcare,maintainingprivacy,dignity,safetyandcompassionatalltimes.

• Act asaclinicalexpertresourceforpatients,carersandhealthcareprofessionalsacrosstheTrust.

• Provide information,educationandemotionalsupporttopatientslivingwithcomplexandoftensensitiveurogynaecologicalconditions.

• Communicate complexorsensitiveinformationclearlyandcompassionately,ensuringinformedconsentandpatientunderstanding.

• Advocate forpatientsandsupporttheminmakinginformeddecisionsabouttheircareandtreatmentoptions.

• Support the  Matron in delivering a high-quality, safe and effective service. 

• LeadbyexampleandcontributetomaintainingcompliancewithCQCstandards,governancerequirementsandTrustpolicies.

• Coordinatemultidisciplinarycareandworkcollaborativelywithconsultants,nursingcolleaguesandotherhealthcareprofessionals. 

• TakeresponsibilityforserviceorganisationandescalationofissuesintheabsenceoftheDeputy Siste
