About The Harefield Care Home

The Harefield Care Home is a welcoming care home located in the peaceful village of Harefield, Uxbridge, Middlesex. Providing nursing and dementia care, the home offers a comfortable and supportive environment with bright living spaces, accessible bedrooms, landscaped gardens and welcoming communal areas. Colleagues work together to provide personalised, high quality care while supporting Residents to maintain their independence, interests and daily routines.

Activities Coordinator Contract

  •  £14.80 to £15.30 per hour
  •  Contracted to 20 hours per week
  •  Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  •  5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.

  •  A creative, organised and enthusiastic approach
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  •  Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities
  •  A genuine interest in supporting older people
  •  Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  •  Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply
