The role will work closely with the Centre Directors, investigators, professional services teams, patient representatives and external partners to support the continued growth, visibility and impact of the Centre.

The Scottish Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence is a collaborative initiative between the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh that brings together researchers, clinicians, technical specialists, students, patient representatives and external partners to accelerate the development of novel therapies for glioblastoma. The Centre supports translational research, training and development, patient and public involvement, industry engagement and collaborative funding development across both institutions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

4. Identify emerging issues that may impact delivery and escalate these appropriately to Centre leadership, proposing solutions where relevant.

5. Collect, collate and analyse information on Centre activities, outputs, outcomes and impact measures, preparing reports, presentations and briefing materials for Centre Directors, funders, governance groups and other stakeholders.

6. Coordinate the delivery of Centre workshops, seminars, annual meetings, training activities and networking events, involving researchers, students, patient representatives, external partners and stakeholders.

7. Co-ordinate Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) activities, including meetings with patient representatives, public engagement events and communication with Centre supporters.

9. Maintain engagement with industry and external partners, coordinating meetings and facilitating communication with relevant University professional services teams, including contracts, knowledge exchange and research support functions.

10. Support dissemination of Centre activities and achievements through websites, newsletters, conference submissions, social media and other communication channels.

11. Monitor Centre activities and gather information on outputs, outcomes and impact measures to support reporting and future funding applications.

12. Act as a key point of contact for Centre operations, maintaining effective working relationships across partner institutions and ensuring activities are undertaken in accordance with relevant University policies and procedures.

13. Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the grade of the post.
