An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Nurses to join our dynamic Dermatology Team working cross bay.

This is a developingservice,and we are searching for motivated and enthusiastic individuals. Ideally you would have a background in Dermatology however we welcome applications from anyinterested candidates.

We are looking for Registered Nursing Associates who deliver compassionate, professional,skilledand effective person centred,evidence-basednursing care by working within a multidisciplinary team, developingcollaborative, needs based care through assessment, planning, implementationand evaluation.

You will be based at RLI but will berequiredat times to travel across bay. You will be trained to carry out Nurse Led Clinics such as phototherapy and day care and will be involved in the development of the Dermatology service across the Morecambe Bay area.

We are committed to continuing professional development of our staff and as part of our Dermatology Team, you will have many opportunities to develop.

The post holder will deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionateand sensitive manner. They will work towards being able to run their own clinics and work independently. Work closely with the medical team and Clinical Nurse Specialists, alsocontributingto the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder willtake delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance ofhigh standardsof quality patient care.

We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

Our Community Service for adults are provided in people's homes ,community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent , improve their health and manage their conditions through high quality care , advice and support.
