Are you an experienced PA or teaching assistant?
We are seeking two reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistants to support a fun-loving and active 7-year-old with Autism living in the Newquay area. The hours would ideally be alternate weekends during term time and potentially any weekday during the school holidays.
Applicants will need to be physically fit, have good awareness of ASD and experience working with ASD children.
This support will provide him with every opportunity to safely access activities and events in his local community that he is interested in and enjoys and to have new experiences.
He can't wait to be taken on social activities with you, you will fall in love with him when you first meet him, he will charm you with his infectious laugh and hugging. This role involves accompanying him on a variety of outdoor, all-weather activities such as walking, swimming and general recreation, whilst encouraging him to build on life skills, independence, social interaction and assisting him in situations he may find difficult.
