Commercial DirectorFull time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per yearSalary: £53,749 - £57,025 per annum Town Centre Campus, Burton on TrentWho are we looking for?This is a pivotal role responsible for leading Business Development, Marketing and Commercial activity across the College, driving sustainable growth, increasing market share and securing new income opportunities. Reporting to the Assistant Principal, you will play a key role in delivering our Adaptive Plan and shaping the future direction of the College.We are looking for a leader who combines commercial acumen with strategic vision and a passion for building strong employer, stakeholder and community relationships.As Director of Commercial, you will:Lead the development and delivery of the College's growth and commercial strategy.Drive ambitious growth across apprenticeships, employer engagement, learner recruitment and commercial services.Identify and secure new markets, strategic partnerships and revenue streams.Lead high performing Business Development, Marketing and Commercial teams.Develop and strengthen the College's brand, reputation and market presence.Use customer insight, CRM intelligence and market analysis to drive customer acquisition and retention.Deliver measurable income growth, commercial performance and return on investment.Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders on growth opportunities, market developments and commercial performance.Represent the College externally, developing influential relationships with employers, partners, local authorities and sector bodies.About YouYou will be a credible and inspiring leader with a proven track record of delivering commercial growth and leading high-performing teams.You will bring:Significant experience in business development, commercial growth, employer engagement or sales leadership.A track record of delivering challenging growth and income targets.Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.Experience of marketing, customer acquisition and brand development.Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.Commercial awareness combined with a customer-focused approach.The ability to influence at executive and board level.Passion, drive and resilience with a commitment to continuous improvement.Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths.
