As a Children's Support Worker within our Respite Service, you'll provide high-quality, child-centred support to children and young people with learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD, mental health needs and other complex needs, while giving families valuable time to rest and recharge.
Whether you're supporting a trip to the park, a visit to the cinema, baking at home, exploring a new hobby or simply being a trusted, friendly face, you'll help create positive experiences that build confidence, independence and lasting memories.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Children's Support Worker, you will:
Support children and young people within their own homes and in the community.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families.
Plan and take part in fun, meaningful and age-appropriate activities.
Encourage confidence, independence and everyday life skills.
Deliver support using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed approaches where appropriate.
Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
Complete accurate records and communicate effectively with families and other professionals.
Most importantly, you'll help children enjoy new experiences while giving families valuable respite and peace of mind.
