Summary

About the role:

The role, which will be undertaken by an individual with lived experience of Health and Social Care services in Powys, will support and coordinate co-production and lived experience activity within Adult Services and Commissioning, ensuring that people with lived experience are meaningfully involved in the design, development, monitoring and

improvement of services.

About you:

- You have lived experience of Adult Social Care, health, or related services. - You have a demonstrable passion and interest in supporting participation and engagement from people with lived experience - You have a keen understanding of the importance of lived experience in service design and improvement. - You have experience of supporting or coordinating groups, meetings or events.

- You have experience of co-production, participation and/or engaging with service users, residents or people with lived experience. - You have a good standard of communication skills, written and oral in a wide range of situations and are able to build positive, respectful relationships with a wide range of people.

What you will do:

- You will be responsible for developing a range of co-production approaches across Powys with a view to adding the voice of individuals with lived experience to the design, delivery and ongoing monitoring of service provision. - You will co-ordinate opportunities for people with lived experience to become involved in engagement, consultation and feedback activity, ensuring all co production activity is inclusive, accessible and respectful, using a strengths based and trauma informed approach. - You will help to establish, organise and maintain lived experience forums, focus groups and engagement sessions, both face to face and online. To ensure that the voice of individuals with lived experience is incorporated to identify and address concerns across Powys and feedback on outcomes. This includes Live Well Forum, Engage to Change and Access to Work forums as well as any other required groups or project specific sessions. - You will develop and deliver relevant workshops in relation to co-production approaches to support individuals to understand the principles and their role in the process. - You will produce toolkits, and resources to support staffing teams to engage and

implement co-production principles into all aspects of their work. - You will produce reports from a lived experience perspective to support

oversight, assurance, and service development and improvement.

This position has a requirement for a Standard DBS Check.
