Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for
HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join a busy local waste and recycling operation in
Ilkeston.

The Role
You'll be working as part of a local authority waste collection team, providing an essential service to more than
50,000 households across the area.
Your day will involve driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle on local residential routes, collecting:
•
Household waste
•
Recycling
•
Garden waste
This is a hands-on driving role and you'll be part of the crew, not just sitting behind the wheel. You will be expected to
get out of the cab and assist the loaders when required, helping the team complete the round safely and efficiently.
You'll be working
Monday to Friday from 6:30am until the round is complete.
What we're looking for
To be considered, you'll need:
•
A valid
Category C / Class 2 HGV licence
•
Valid
Driver CPC
•
Valid
Digital Tachograph Card
•
A reliable and hardworking attitude
•
The ability to work well as part of a team
•
Availability to start
as soon as possible
Previous experience driving a refuse or waste collection vehicle would be an advantage,
but it isn't essential.
