Who we need

We have a fantastic opportunity for a well-organised and enthusiastic candidate to join our Inclusion Team. The right applicant will possess a team orientated focus, open and approachable to our learners and their complex and diverse needs and have the ability to liaise with internal and external professionals to ensure we have the best support in place for our students.

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to oversee the delivery of high-quality inclusion support across the College. Reporting to the Senior Head of Inclusion, you will lead a team of Team Leaders, Dyslexia Specialists and Inclusion Support staff to ensure students receive effective, compliant and student-centred support that enables them to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and manage the Inclusion Team, ensuring high standards of performance, compliance and service delivery across all College sites.
  • Provide line management and strategic oversight of Team Leaders, the Dyslexia Team and Inclusion Administrator, including CPD, performance reviews, coaching and staff development.
  • Ensure effective delivery of in-class and out-of-class support, including exam access arrangements in line with JCQ regulations and deadlines.
  • Oversee student support planning, caseload management and provision reviews to ensure support remains appropriate, effective and accurately documented.
  • Drive collaboration across Curriculum, Wellbeing, Behaviour and Safeguarding teams to promote positive student outcomes and an inclusive culture.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on service performance, compliance, funding requirements and audit standards, implementing continuous improvements where required.
  • Lead on the coordination and management of support and funding for High Needs students, ensuring compliance with funding guidance and audit requirements.
  • Support Team Leaders with operational matters including timetabling, resource allocation and service delivery across College sites.
  • Respond to complex queries, complaints and service issues, deputising for the Senior Head of Inclusion when required.
  • Design and deliver staff development initiatives, mentoring and career progression opportunities to build a high-performing and skilled workforce
