Summary
Are you seeking a leadership role within a supportive and dynamic environment? We are recruiting a Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to help lead our enthusiastic and motivated nursing team in delivering excellent care to patients on our General Medical Ward.
Full‑time, Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Junior Sister to join our friendly and committed team. We are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic, motivated, and possess strong communication skills.
Frank Deas Ward specialises in General Medicine, caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
As a Band 6 nurse, you will be highly motivated, organised, and clinically confident, with excellent communication and leadership abilities. You will be supported to further develop your leadership and management skills and will work closely with the Ward Manager and wider nursing team to ensure that high standards of care are consistently maintained.
You will demonstrate compassion and professionalism while caring for patients who require our support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and therefore must be flexible to work weekends and night shifts as part of the rota.
In return, we offer a comprehensive programme of professional development, including study days, training courses, and postgraduate modules, for nursing staff wishing to advance their clinical knowledge and leadership skills.

St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey. Our sites include St George’s Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).
After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce.
At gesh we are committed to supporting flexible working arrangements. Applicants are encouraged to discuss any flexibility they may need during the recruitment process.
