Job Advert - Yard Operative (Vehicle Compound) - Stallingborough / Immingham
GI Group Grimsby are recruiting a
Yard Operative for an ongoing, full-time role based at a busy
vehicle compound in the Stallingborough / Immingham area. This is a great opportunity for someone confident working outdoors and happy with a hands-on yard role.
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day movement and checking of vehicles within the compound.
Key duties include:
- Moving/relocating vehicles safely around the vehicle compound
- Checking vehicles for damage and
- Using a
- Supporting yard operations and general compound organisation
- Progressing into
- Walking is involved in the role
reporting issues at first instance
handheld terminal scanner (full training provided)
load lane pulling as you become experienced in the role
Pay & Overtime
£12.91 per hour
Saturday (after 40 hours): £19.37 per hour (time and a half)
Sunday (after 40 hours): £25.82 per hour
Hours
Monday to Friday - rotational week to week - 0600-1400 AND 0930-1800
Optional Saturdays depending on client requirements
Ongoing, full-time position

- Comfortable working in an outdoor yard environment
- Strong attention to detail when checking vehicles for damage
- Reliable, safety-conscious and able to follow site processes
- Happy to learn new systems (scanner training provided)
