Sodexo is seeking an experienced and commercially focused
PPP Contract Manager to lead the operational delivery of facilities management services across a strategic PPP contract.
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the delivery of integrated Hard FM, Soft FM, Energy, Lifecycle and Compliance services across two landmark higher-education buildings within a flagship Dublin PPP contract, managing a team of approximately 50 colleagues and specialist service partners.
Reporting to the Contract Director, you will be accountable for operational performance, financial delivery, contractual compliance, client satisfaction and long-term asset stewardship.
The role requires a strong blend of facilities management expertise, commercial acumen, stakeholder management and contractual knowledge within a complex performance-based environment.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the safe and effective delivery of all integrated facilities management services across the contract.
- Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team of managers, supervisors, technicians, helpdesk personnel and service partners.
- Lead the contract’s compliance arrangements and ensure that appropriate controls, assurance processes and corrective actions are maintained across contractual, statutory and service requirements.
- Act as the primary operational interface with the client, representatives, consultants and key stakeholders.
- Lead monthly performance reviews, client governance meetings and operational reporting processes.
- Manage contract budgets, forecasts, expenditure controls and commercial performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiency, innovation and service enhancement.
- Oversee lifecycle replacement programmes and asset management activities to ensure long-term asset performance and contract compliance.
- Lead incident management, emergency response and business continuity planning.
- Manage contractor performance and ensure the effective delivery of specialist subcontracted services.
- Ensure robust controls are maintained to minimise performance and service failures and contractual risk.
- Support audit, assurance, quality and compliance programmes across all service lines.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer experience and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration and operational excellence.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Significant experience managing large-scale Facilities Management contracts.
- Strong operational knowledge of both Hard FM and Soft FM services.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and outsourced service providers.
- Demonstrable experience managing budgets, commercial performance and contractual KPIs.
- Strong understanding of building services, including but not limited to:
- HVAC, Mechanical & Electrical Systems, Fire Safety Systems, BMS / Smart Building Technologies, Energy Management
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
- Proven ability to manage risk, compliance and performance within a complex service environment.
- Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving capabilities.
- Full understanding of Health, Safety and Contractor Management requirements.
- Ability to respond to operational incidents and support out-of-hours escalation where required.
- Ability to satisfy Garda Vetting requirements.
Desirable
- Experience working within a PPP/PFI environment.
- Experience managing higher-education, healthcare, government or other critical environments.
- Experience managing payment mechanisms, contractual compliance frameworks and performance deduction regimes.
- Degree qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, Asset Management or related discipline.
- Experience of lifecycle management, asset strategies and handback planning.
- Experience working within a health, safety and compliance-focused environment.
- Relevant professional qualifications or memberships (such as IOSH, NEBOSH, IWFM, CIBSE, SCSI or Engineers Ireland) would be beneficial, but are not essential.
- A passion for developing professionally and staying up to date with industry best practice.
