There is a dedicated neurovascular surgical service supporting this workload. There is an increasingly busy neurointerventional service managing most neurovascular disorders in adults and children, the latter in conjunction with Great Ormond Street Hospital. The Neuroradiologists have access to day-case beds, intensive care and ward beds. There are 10 vascular GA lists per week, which is planned to expand with the second interventional suite. The job plan includes time for administrative duties; and there is a time supplement added to interventional lists to allow for direct patient care. The aim with the expansion is for all consultants to have one angiography list per week.
