Summary
Class 1 Driver - General Haulage
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday-Friday
Guaranteed Hours: 50 hours per week
Night-Out Allowance: £30 per night out
Overtime: Available
Weekend Work: Available
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client's general haulage operation based in Stoke-on-Trent.
You'll be responsible for carrying
palletised freight across the UK, representing our client professionally while delivering to customers nationwide.
This is a
Monday-Friday role with 50 hours guaranteed, with some nights out required. There are also opportunities for
overtime for drivers who want additional hours.
You'll have the independence to manage your working day while being supported by an experienced transport team whenever you need assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 1 vehicle across the UK
- Delivering palletised freight to customers nationwide
- Carrying out general haulage work safely and efficiently
- Completing vehicle checks and ensuring loads are secure
- Completing delivery and transport paperwork
- Providing professional customer service
- Communicating with the transport team regarding deliveries and job changes
- Completing nights out when required

Requirements
- Valid
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- General haulage experience desirable
- Good knowledge of UK roads
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
Class 1 (C+E) licence
