Summary

Interim Employee Relations Specialist HR - 6 months

Leeds

6 month FTC - Hybrid option: 3 days in Leeds office 2 days from home

IMMEDIATE START

My client is a reputable social care Charity looking to expand their HR team by recruiting a knowledgeable, enthusiastic HR professional as a specialist Employee Relations Specialist to take the lead on all matters relating to Employee Relations.

They are a multi-site business, with operations across many areas in the north of the UK

Main responsibilities:

Leading on ER casework across multiple services, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and performance concerns

Coaching Registered Managers, Team Leaders and Coordinators to handle people issues confidently and in line with policy, CQC expectations and safer‑recruitment principles

Supporting absence management, capability processes and return‑to‑work plans

Producing clear, accurate documentation and maintaining compliant, audit‑ready records

Identifying themes and recommending proactive solutions to reduce ER risk and improve workforce stability

Experience:

Strong ER experience, ideally within social care, healthcare or another regulated environment

Confident handling of complex cases

Excellent communication

Ability to influence managers and build trusted relationships across diverse teams

Solid understanding of employment law, safer‑recruitment practice and workforce compliance

Highly organised, discreet and able to manage competing priorities

A recognised CIPD qualification is required for this role

Experience of working for a Social Care or Healthcare provider would be an advantage but is not essential.
