Summary
Role Purpose
The Product Support Technician provides accurate, timely technical and administrative support for the configuration and set-up of MotorPlan's product range for our dealer and manufacturer partners.
The role blends product knowledge, technical capability and strong communication skills to support pricing, plan configuration, dealer onboarding and contract administration across all MotorPlan products. As MotorPlan's product range and client base continue to grow, this role is pivotal to the success of the business.
The role also acts as an extension of the Commercial team, offering client training, support and experience, and promoting best practice across MotorPlan's dealer and manufacturer partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dealer & Product Onboarding
• Support the onboarding of new dealer and manufacturer partners, configuring products, pricing and plan structures accurately across all MotorPlan product lines.
• Set up new campaigns, pricing tables and plan variants in line with agreed commercial terms.
• Conduct system checks, testing and validation of configuration before go-live.
2. Sales Team Support & Pre-Sales Collaboration
• Act as a technical partner to the Sales team, supporting Sales Managers with configuration queries, feasibility checks and pricing structures across the MotorPlan product range.
• Prepare technical inputs for quotations, proposals and new business or tender submissions.
• Join client or dealer calls when required to explain configuration options, product capabilities or onboarding processes.
• Deliver client training sessions and share best-practice guidance with dealer and manufacturer partners, helping them get the most from MotorPlan's products.
3. Product & Pricing Configuration
• Manage configuration tasks across MotorPlan's product catalogue including new product or pricing set-up, plan amendments, campaign updates and rebate structures.
• Maintain the accuracy of the product catalogue and pricing tables across all product lines.
• Document, test and deploy configuration changes accurately.
4. Contract & Direct Debit Administration
• Support Direct Debit mandate set-up, changes and reconciliation across all product lines.
• Maintain accurate records of contract terms and product entitlements.
5. Reporting & Data Management
• Support the requirements for reports on plan sales, configuration activity and dealer performance.
• Support data validation, imports and system audits across MotorPlan products.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on reporting outputs.

6. Technical Support & Issue Resolution
• Act as a first point of technical escalation for configuration or system queries from dealers and internal teams.
• Investigate and resolve configuration errors, data discrepancies and system behaviour queries.
• Liaise with IT or Operations teams where deeper technical intervention is required.
7. Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding, configuration and administration processes across all product lines.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge bases and internal process guides.
• Provide feedback to the Product Support Manager on recurring issues or enhancement opportunities.
