Summary

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established commercial dealership in Basingstoke. The HGV Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal vehicle performance. Duties of the HGV Technician:

- Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles

- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults

- Conducting vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance tasks

- Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and addressing any issues identified

- Ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements of the HGV Technician:

- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a related commercial vehicle role

- Relevant Level 3 technical qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

- Valid driving licence; an HGV licence is advantageous

- Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently when required
