Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly skilled HGV Technician to join their reputable dealership in the Wolverhampton area. This is an excellent HGV Technician opportunity for an experienced professional seeking a role in a well-equipped, professional environment with strong earning potential. The HGV technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring standards are met efficiently and safely.

Benefits:

- Competitive salary, dependent on experience, with an OTE of £50,000 per annum

- Working shifts: alternating between 6.30 am to 3.30 pm and 9.30 am to 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday

Duties:

- Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers

- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults

- Complete vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing

- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and DVSA standards

- Accurately complete job cards and service documentation

- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment

- Work efficiently on alternating shifts as part of a dedicated workshop team

- Provide a high standard of customer service and technical support

Requirements:

- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or relevant field

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on HGVs preferred

- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to fault-find effectively

- HGV Class 1 or 2 licence is desirable but not essential

- Experience with main dealer services is advantageous

- Right to work in the UK

- Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
