Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Clyst Vale is a thriving and vibrant 11-16 Community College situated five miles from Exeter. Visitors to Clyst Vale usually comment on the friendly, orderly atmosphere, the courtesy of our students, and the purposefulness in lessons. We have clear expectations and systems, but far more important are the excellent working relationships we establish between staff and students, as well as staff and parents. We remain the only Secondary school in Devon to be accredited Gold Rights Respecting School status.

The role

We are seeking a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Science Technician to support the successful delivery of Science across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing practical resources, maintaining equipment and ensuring that laboratories and preparation areas are safe, well-organised and fully equipped to support high-quality teaching and learning.

Working hours are Monday-Friday 18hrs per week. How the hours are split over the 5 days can be discussed at interview.

CVs are not accepted, please complete the application form in full. If you can meet the requirements of this role, we would love to hear from you. All applications should be made by completing the online application form via E-teach available at http://www.bep.ac/vacancies and include evidence of how you meet the person specification for the role. For full details of the role, please see the job description and person specification.

Please note we do not offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship to non-UK citizens for this role.

As part of our due diligence process when shortlisting, we may carry out an online search of publicly available material to identify any incidents or issues which we might want to explore with the applicant at interview. We also reserve the right to interview prospective candidates at any point and to close the advert early.

We will be reviewing applications as they come in and may invite strong candidates for an interview before the closing date. To ensure your application is considered, please apply promptly. See the Job Description for a full breakdown of the role and responsibilities.
