MKUH is one of the leading hospitals in Europe for implementing robotics to assist in surgery, becoming the first in the continent to use the CMR Versius robot for gynaecological surgery. Since its introduction in 2019, the theatres team have completed over 500 surgical cases, the first hospital in the UK to reach this milestone, achieving this in March 2023. Find out more about working in #TeamSurgery at MKUH from the people who work across the division in the video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mYel-Y9nrU Communication & Relationship skillsTo deal with telephone enquires as necessary in a concise and appropriate manner, recording all relevant information and taking action as appropriate.Providing advice, instruction or training to new starters where the subject matter is straightforward Analytical and judgemental skillsTo work in all production areas of the department.To be responsible for final product release Planning and organisational skillsExpected to deliver the set work on time and to the required standard.Able to prioritise and meet deadlines depending on customer requirements to ensure minimal disruption to patient care Responsibilities for patient/client careTo decontaminate flexible endoscopes for use in operating theatres and Endoscopy.To supply products to specified areas in agreed quantities and to specified properties and cleanliness Responsibility for policy and service development implementationEnsure that staff acts in accordance with all departmental policies and procedures.To support the requirements of new developments and services in response to their needs, national targets, policy or developments. Responsible for financial and physical resourcesAssisting in restocking supplies and recording any information required.Keeping areas clean and tidy to maintain a safe, pleasant environment. Responsible for human resourcesTo monitor compliance with dress code, maintenance of the clean working environment.Support new employees in the department Responsible for information resourcesAre responsible for completing all forms which form part of the ISO 13485 accreditation ensuring all forms are completed in a timely manner and any anomalies reported Responsible for research and developmentExpected to support registered auditors and internal auditors by being audited against quality standards.May occasionally take part in trials or equipment testing Freedom to actWorks autonomously by participating in the on call rota providing 24/7 emergency cover on a scheduled basis.Responsible for supervision of external partners (i.e. Gutcare) who work in the department outside of normal practice Please refer to the attached job description for further information
