Summary

Central Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to provide flexible agency cover across a range of supported accommodation and homelessness services for young people throughout the North West of England.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people facing a range of challenges, including homelessness, mental health needs, substance misuse, and other complex support needs. You'll play a vital role in helping individuals build confidence, develop independence, and work towards positive outcomes.

We have a variety of shifts available to suit different schedules, including early, late, waking night, and sleep-in shifts, offering flexibility around your existing commitments. The pay rate for this role ranges from £15.08 to £16.42 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay), depending on the location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Providing high-quality, person-centred support to young people

• Promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive life choices

• Supporting individuals within a strengths-based and recovery-focused framework

• Maintaining a safe and supportive environment

• Safeguarding vulnerable young people and responding appropriately to concerns

• Completing accurate records and handovers

To apply for this role, you’ll need experience supporting young people with multiple disadvantages (this can either be paid or voluntary experience, or experience gained via a university placement).

FURTHER REQUIREMENTS:

In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Current valid right to work in the UK

• Relevant sector experience

• A fully enhanced DBS registered on the DBS update service or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)

• Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
