HRGO Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established local business for a
Maintenance Operative to join their team on a permanent basis based in Sheffield, S25
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in
maintenance, facilities, property maintenance or building repairs. You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the site, carrying out repairs, maintenance and security checks to ensure the premises remain safe, secure and operational.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs
- General building maintenance, painting and decorating
- Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work
- Maintain fencing, gates, drainage and external areas
- Conduct routine site, CCTV and security checks
- Complete maintenance records and inspection reports
- Support contractors and site inductions
- Assist with compliance, health & safety and operational duties
Requirements
- Previous maintenance, facilities or property maintenance experience
- Good general repair, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends
Relevant qualifications such as
NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent are advantageous but not essential.
