Customer Service Advisor

12-month fixed-term contract

NS7 £29,542 - £31,015 per annum

We are now recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join our busy Customer Services Team and provide excellent support to residents and customers across a wide range of Council services.

You will be a focused and positive individual with excellent communication skills, the confidence to use your own initiative and the motivation to make a difference. You will put the customer at the heart of everything you do and be ready to work flexibly in an ever-changing, consistently busy environment. This is initially a 12-month appointment, with the potential to become permanent.

What does the job involve?

You will work at Castle House, Newark, or at one of our outreach centres, dealing with a wide range of customer enquiries. This includes face-to-face enquiries and answering calls in our contact centre, as well as webchat and social media. You will need a flexible approach, with the ability to prioritise your work and respond to a changing workload.

All about you

Excellent communication, keyboard and numeracy skills are required. You will also have experience of working in an appropriate customer-oriented environment and using a variety of ICT systems to record, monitor and extract customer service information.

You will have the ability to meet targets, experience of working with online computer systems and GCSE Grade C,/Levels 4-9 or equivalent, in English and Mathematics. You must also be able to travel to outreach locations within the district.

You will have good attention to detail and a professional approach. Crucially, you will have a positive attitude, embrace change and be helpful, friendly and confident in communicating with customers and colleagues.
