Summary

The successful candidate will bring senior experience in digital, data, technology, cyber security, information governance, digital transformation or major technology-enabled change in a large, complex organisation. You will be able to scrutinise major programmes, technology risk, investment decisions and benefits realisation. You will understand how electronic patient records, interoperability, data quality and digital tools affect safety, quality and service delivery. You will be confident interpreting complex assurance reports and translating technical issues into clear, constructive questions at Board level. You will bring independent judgement, sound ethics and a commitment to digital inclusion, equality and safe, high quality care. Transferable experience from outside the NHS is welcome; previous NHS Board experience is not essential. The appointment is subject to the Trust being satisfied that the successful candidate meets the fit and proper persons requirements for directors.
