The Opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for an invigilator to join SRUC on a permanent casual contract and create a professional, welcoming, and inclusive examination environment, ensuring all students are treated fairly and are supported to perform at their best while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and confidentiality.

The Invigilator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, secure, and fair delivery of internal and external examinations. Working in accordance with awarding body regulations and organisational policies, the postholder will supervise candidates, maintain examination standards, and support the integrity of the assessment process.

The Invigilator is responsible for supporting the effective and secure delivery of examinations and assessments by supervising students, ensuring compliance with examination regulations, and maintaining appropriate examination conditions throughout. The role involves preparing examination venues, verifying candidate attendance and identity, providing instructions and guidance to candidates, and responding appropriately to routine queries and examination-related incidents. The postholder will support students with approved access arrangements, record and report any irregularities or suspected malpractice, and ensure the secure collection and return of examination materials. Working closely with the examinations team and academic staff, the Invigilator will contribute to the smooth administration of examinations while maintaining accurate records and attending all required training and briefings.
