Summary

This role provides substantial senior level clinical experience and is designed to support progression towards consultant practice. Senior residents will develop advanced skills in clinical leadership, decision making and service management while working closely with consultants and the wider multi-disciplinary team. during shift work, the post holder will undertake responsibilities consistent with acting as the senior clinical decision maker and chief doctor on the shift, ensuring safe, effective and coordinated patient care while supporting junior staff and collaborating closely with the MDT. This position provides excellent preparation for future senior leadership roles within neonatal medicine. All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration.
