Summary

No two days are the same — you’ll be providing a mix of practical support, personal care, and emotional encouragement, depending on each person’s individual needs. Your role may include:

Supporting with daily tasks such as shopping, meal preparation, light housework, and medication reminders

Providing companionship to promote emotional wellbeing

Assisting in the kitchen and encouraging involvement in meal planning and preparation

Planning and participating in fun activities at home and in the community

Accompanying individuals on day trips and outings

Supporting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect

Completing accurate documentation and care records
