Summary

Undertake comprehensive specialist assessments of patients with bowel dysfunction. Develop and implement individualised management plans using evidence-based practice. Lead nurse- or therapist-led clinics and provide ongoing patient treatment and follow-up. Act as an expert resource for patients, families and healthcare professionals. Coordinate multidisciplinary care and facilitate seamless patient pathways. Contribute to service development, audit, governance and quality improvement initiatives. Provide education and training to colleagues and students. Support the evaluation and implementation of new treatments and innovations within bowel dysfunction services.
