Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 Therapy Assistant to join the dynamic Community Neurotherapy Team based at Ellesmere Port Hospital. As a Therapy Assistant you will assist in the delivery of high quality occupational therapy and physiotherapy plans to patients with a variety of Neurological rehabilitation needs both within the community and in an out-patient clinic. These sessions may be jointly with registered members of the team, within a group setting and/or on a 1:1 individual basis.
You will work alongside and liaise with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff as well as the wider multidisciplinary team, family members and other outside agencies as directed by registered therapists.
Whilst experience within a healthcare setting as a therapy assistant would be an advantage, it is not essential as training will be provided and you will be supported in your development by both the team and by our Practice Development Therapist.
This post is part time 22.5 hours per week.
The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.
• To work under the direction of a registered therapist carrying out therapeutic intervention on a daily basis.
• To implement patient treatment plans, written by the registered therapists
• To observe patients, either individually or in groups and report all relevant observations to registered therapists.
