Summary
Luma Education Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Primary Teacher to join a supportive specialist primary school setting.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and creating an inclusive, engaging and nurturing learning environment.
The successful candidate will work with pupils across the primary age range, supporting their academic, social, emotional and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for primary-aged pupils.
Adapt teaching methods, resources and activities to meet individual learning needs.
Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and additional needs.
Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
Set clear expectations and promote positive behaviour.
Monitor, assess and record pupil progress.
Use assessment information to inform future planning and teaching.
Develop positive and professional relationships with pupils.
Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and communication skills.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other support staff to provide effective classroom support.
Work collaboratively with the SENCO, school leadership and other professionals.
Contribute to individual learning plans and personalised support strategies where required.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to meetings regarding pupil progress and development.
Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and procedures.
