Summary

Our Endoscopy Unit hosts BCSP lists, VCE, and has contributed to validation work for Colon Capsule, Cytosponge, and is currently trialing Hemopill. We also have a dedicated clinical trials facility. About the Role The post holder will take a lead role in delivering outpatient and inpatient endoscopy, contributing: 5 diagnostic upper and lower GI endoscopy sessions per week 1 outpatient clinic, with associated triage, Advice & Refer, and administrative duties Participation in departmental meetings, MDTs, audit, and service improvement is expected and encouraged. Where possible, we will seek to accommodate individual areas of specialist interest to ensure a rewarding and professionally satisfying year at Whipps Cross. This post does not require participation in: The Gastroenterologist of the Week ward rota The outofhours GI bleed rota The General Internal Medicine take However, candidates wishing to contribute to any of these rotas may do so by mutual agreement.
