Summary

An opportunity has arisen within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science at the University of South Wales for the appointment of a Senior Technical Officer with electrical and electronic skills.

Based at the Upper Glyntaff Campus, Pontypridd, this role will provide you with the opportunity where you can utilise your range of electrical/electronic skills to provide technical expertise in electrical/electronic workshops/laboratories supporting academic staff and students.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Technical Officer to support practical teaching activities and maintain our electrical/electronic workshops/laboratories in a newly built building opening in September 2026. The ideal candidate will be:

• A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

• Organised and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to workshop/laboratory management.
