As a Data Administrator Apprentice in our Restart team, you'll support the Quality and Compliance function to ensure data is processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with contractual requirements. While completing a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, you'll gain valuable experience working with key systems and processes that help deliver positive outcomes for participants.

Your work has purpose. By maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance activities, you'll help ensure services are delivered effectively and responsibly. This role offers the opportunity to develop practical business administration skills, contribute to a team that values trust and care, and build a strong foundation for future growth and development.

What you’ll do as a Data Administrator Apprentice

- Process key referral, programme start, and payment data through the Provider Referrals and Payments (PRaP) system.

- Transfer data between Serco and Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) systems while maintaining data integrity and accuracy.

- Identify, investigate, and resolve data processing issues, escalating where appropriate.

- Complete quality and compliance checks on programme milestones and supporting evidence.

- Support the wider Quality and Compliance Team to ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met.

- Provide accurate administration support while developing your skills through the apprenticeship programme.

Does this sound like you?

- You have 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths.

- You have good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.

- You communicate confidently and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

- You have excellent attention to detail and can manage tasks accurately and efficiently.

- You can work independently, use your initiative, and adapt to changing priorities.

- You must meet apprenticeship eligibility requirements, including having lived in the UK for at least three years.

What we offer

- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (and the option to buy up to five additional leave days each year)

- Up to 6% contributory pension scheme

- Over 1,100 internal courses available, funding for qualifications and apprenticeships (we currently offer over 60 different apprenticeships), mentoring opportunities, and a focus on internal progression.

- Employee Assistance Programme, Bupa Anytime HealthLine, wellbeing app, 30% off at Serco-managed leisure centres, and 24/7 access to a virtual GP service

- Discounts across around 1,000 retailers, from food and clothing to days out, entertainment and travel

- Paid volunteering day, tax-free charitable giving through Payroll Giving Scheme, donate your pennies from your monthly pay to the Serco People Fund Charity

- Our employee networks support connection by providing spaces for collaboration, learning, and belonging. They represent and empower all our colleagues including veterans, LGBTQIA+ employees, women, parents and carers, people with disabilities, and people from all cultural backgrounds.

Vetting and checks:

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
