The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members

, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

Job purpose/about the role

The purpose of the role is to provide a critical support service which

will enable the safe and efficient running of Aberdeen City Council’s

headquarters properties. This will require team members to work in

collaboration

with

colleagues

from

across

Council

services,

in

particular the other Facilities Management services which operate in

our buildings and with Building Services colleagues and/or their sub-

contractors to achieve the required outcomes.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

  • Current UK Driving License

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

  • Appropriate level of health and fitness to carry out lifting of box files, mail pouches

    school meals, furniture etc, as part of the normal working day.

  • Competency in the use of all equipment and vehicles issued

  • Processing of mail, including use of equipment and processes
