About the Role.
We are looking for a Referral Manager with recent experience of working with children and families and particularly Fostering to lead and manage a team of 12 referral co-ordinators across two main sites: Croydon in South London and Herne Bay in North Kent. You will be a driven and proactive individual, with an ability to drive team performance in taking referrals from local authorities and liaising with our Foster Carers to ensure that the best possible match is found for the young person or child in order to achieve their best.
In addition, you will be responsible to building and designing individual packages of support to enable our carers to manage complex referrals. You will build positive working relationships with our social workers, carers, and Local Authorities staff.
You will need to be a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, with a great attention to detail and able to use word, excel and databases competently. You will be able to analyse information from a variety of sources, be able to multitask and produce accurate and convincing reports to support your plans.
You will lead and manage a team of referral co-ordinators and be responsible for their supervision and development.

Responsibilities
Manage the referral teams across both sites.
Work closely with referral team colleagues across the group to achieve targets and promote the work of the team both internally and externally and to ensure the consistent delivery of the referral journey.
Ensure compliance with the Financial and reporting that are in place.
Report to Senior Management regarding data analysis of referrals to placement, identifying areas of need, themes and trends to ensure the Carer base is diverse and multi skilled
Responsible for the review and dissemination of contractual obligations across the region/ area and ensure the teams actions are contractually compliant.
Assist in the collection of data for compliance reporting.
Undertake training, project work and such other duties as may be reasonably requested.
Work in accordance with all the policies and procedures of the National Fostering Group, always observing the strict rules of confidentiality appropriate to the role.
Essential Criteria
The candidate will have at least 3 years management experience, ideally within the social care and fostering sector.
A social work qualification is desirable but not essential.
Working knowledge of Fostering Services and Fostering regulations
Insight into contractual relationships between the private and public services
You will have the ability to travel accordingly across various locations in the area to cover the needs of the role
