We are recruiting for an experienced Part time Cook to join our client’s busy catering team. They produce food from fresh ingredients and good, honest cooking, seating approx. 200 people rolling through the day including breakfast, lunch, afternoon teas, snacks.

We are ideally looking for someone to work 4 days Friday to Monday 9.00am -5.00pm – 30 hours per week, although any 2 days between Friday – Sunday can be considered

Working in a large kitchen team, the successful individual will be responsible for general food prep, service cooking and cleaning down.

Duties for Cook include:

• Prepare, cook, and present food to a high standard.

• Work safely around the kitchen equipment.

• Maintain accurate food records.

• Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic, and tidy at all times.

• Monitor portion size and waste.

Skills needed for cook:

• Experience of cooking in a busy kitchen

• Experience of commercial catering equipment

• Remains calm under pressure

• Good time management

This role would suit somebody from a school, café, large volume canteen or large nursing home style home cooking environment. Temporary with the possibility of becoming Permanent for the right candidate
