Summary

Luma Education Recruitment are currently recruiting for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a primary school setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is ready to take on greater responsibility within the classroom, lead learning activities and provide high-quality support to pupils across the primary age range.

Key Responsibilities

Lead lessons and learning activities for individuals, small groups and whole classes when required.

Support the class teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of lessons.

Deliver pre-planned lessons in the teacher's absence.

Provide targeted support to pupils who require additional help with their learning.

Adapt resources and activities to meet different abilities and learning styles.

Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Assist with assessing and recording pupil progress.

Support positive behaviour and maintain a safe, calm and productive classroom environment.

Build positive and professional relationships with pupils.

Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Support and guide Teaching Assistants within the classroom where appropriate.

Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team.

Contribute to the wider life of the school and support school policies and procedures.

An ongoing position with view of temporary to permanent options available.
