This is a part-time position, working

22.2 hours per week, on a maternity cover basis.

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Day to day duties of the role

To deliver high quality teaching and learning on a range of courses at different levels and contexts, both discrete, face to face and on-line.

Proactively track and record student progress against starting points ensuring that accurate and reliable information on the predicted achievement and success of learners is readily available.

To complete and use initial assessments of learners to ensure that their learning needs are met and appropriate learning journeys are planned.

To act as a link tutor ensuring that external assessments and exams are organised and communicated to vocational staff and their students

Required skills and qualifications

All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to

gain this Qualification within the first three years of service, with the assistance of the College.

Ability to teach GCSE and/or Functional Skills maths Entry Level - to Level 2.

Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
