Summary
Luma Education Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist school supporting children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
This part-time opportunity would suit an experienced SEN Teacher who is passionate about creating engaging, accessible and supportive learning experiences for pupils with complex additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to the individual needs and abilities of pupils.
Support children with SLD and PMLD through personalised learning activities.
Use a range of communication, sensory and learning strategies to encourage pupil engagement.
Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where necessary.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SEN staff and other professionals to support pupils' development.
Promote communication, independence and confidence wherever possible.
Support pupils' social, emotional, physical and educational development.
Follow individual education and support plans.
Maintain a consistent and positive approach to behaviour and classroom routines.
