We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the Cardiovascular Research Institute at City St. George’s, University of London, a world-leading centre for investigating the causes of sudden cardiac death in the young. This 18-month post is funded by a Springboard grant from the Academy of Medical Sciences and British Heart Foundation. You will also be expected to implement new techniques and optimize protocols critical to the project and provide technical expertise and input for troubleshooting of experiments. It is expected that you will work with limited supervision and contribute to data analysis and interpretation.

** Person Specification

We are looking for a person with a PhD in molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry or a related discipline. You should have practical expertise with gene editing methodologies and extensive direct experience of zebrafish husbandry techniques and the development of zebrafish disease models. You should also have experience in designing and executing functional assays for evaluating the effects of gene mutations, as well as excellent technical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
