As a Senior Performance Analyst, you set the highest standards in quality analysis to ensure services that meet the Government’s Digital by Default Service Standard.

You are responsible for delivering high-quality and innovative analysis in relation to digital services and maximising the value of the Department’s data and contributing to the development of new skills and procedures within the Performance Analyst community.

The key purpose of this role is to deliver and improve data collection, performance reporting and analytical insight for the digital services.

You provide analysis, tell data stories and build relationships that drive evidence based decision making and create/maintain a data-driven performance culture for the Department’s digital services.

Work with service teams to translate business requirements into clear analytical questions and deliver data driven solutions that support decision making and service improvement.
Lead the collection, analysis and interpretation of digital performance data, providing actionable insights and compelling narratives to inform user centred design and product development.
Develop, configure and assure digital analytics solutions, ensuring high quality data collection, reporting and compliance with departmental and statistical standards.
Design and evaluate experiments, including A/B and multivariate testing, ensuring findings are robust, evidence based and statistically valid.
Identify, integrate and exploit new data sources, technologies and analytical techniques to enhance insight generation and maximise the value of digital analytics.
Provide expert advice and constructive challenge to stakeholders, helping teams refine analytical requirements and make informed strategic and operational decisions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and analytical professions to maintain data integrity, resolve reporting issues and promote the effective use of performance analytics.
Establish and promote best practice across digital performance analytics, driving continuous improvement, innovation and a culture of learning and evidence based decision making.
