Summary
We're looking for a Graduate MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical team based in the Northampton region.
Location: Rushden, NorthamptonHours: 40 hours per weekSalary: £31000 + Car Allowance (on some contracts)Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38kStart: September 2027

As a Graduate MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of MEP projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in MEP quantity surveying. Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) is an internal MEP self-delivery design and build business within the Kier group, supporting regional businesses across the UK on complex and challenging projects.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Graduate MEP Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Kier Mechanical & Electrical team, supporting them in delivering MEP projects. Your day to day will include:
-Assisting in preparing and managing MEP project budgets, cost plans, and cost estimates
-Supporting the measurement and interim valuation of work done on-site, ensuring timely and accurate billing
-Helping prepare and submit MEP tenders and contract documents
-Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor MEP progress and ensure work is being carried out safely and to specifications
-Collaborating with the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements
