As an Internal Sales team member, you'll be looking after a mixture of customers, getting to know them, understanding what they need and helping them find the right products. It's varied, fast-moving and gives you plenty of opportunity to build relationships rather than simply processing orders all day.

What will you be doing as Internal Sales?

Working as part of a small and friendly team, you'll be helping customers with their day-to-day requirements while developing strong, long-term relationships.

Your day could include:

Speaking with existing and lapsed customers and building strong relationships

Handling inbound enquiries and making outbound calls to customers

Quoting customers and providing advice on products and availability

Checking stock levels and suggesting alternative or additional products where appropriate

Liaising with suppliers in the UK and overseas to obtain pricing and product information

Working closely with customers and internal departments to resolve any order issues

Keeping customer websites updated with the latest product range

Monitoring customer spend and product trends

What are we looking for?

We're more interested in your approach and personality than finding someone who ticks every single box.

You could be a great fit if you have:

Experience in sales administration, account management, sales support, customer service or a similar role

Office-based experience and a confident, friendly telephone manner

Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and email

A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership

Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a busy workload

The confidence to speak to customers and build rapport

A genuine interest in understanding what customers need

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is upbeat, outgoing and enjoys being part of a team. Someone who likes building relationships, getting things done and being the person customers know they can rely on.
