What skills and experience we're looking for

H3 Administrator Officer

Fixed Term Contract – until 31 August 2027

Pay Scale: NJC Scale 5, SCP (12-15) (37 hours a week – term time only)

The H3 Federation Business Unit is seeking experienced, enthusiastic and highly organised individuals to join our committed administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity to support three distinctive schools working in close partnership and to play a key role in providing a warm, professional welcome to students, families and visitors.

About H3 Federation

Founded in April 2023, the H3 Federation comprises three schools working collaboratively: Haverstock School (a mainstream secondary), Heath School (a Secondary PRU) and Harmood School (an SEMH special school). We are a values‑driven organisation, placing aspiration and inclusivity at the heart of everything we do, and our vision is to be a place where every student can learn and grow. Each school retains its own identity, budget and Head of School, while benefiting from the shared expertise, ideas and opportunities that come from working together.

Haverstock School is proud to be a founding partner in the H3 Federation, alongside Heath School and Harmood School. All three schools share a governing body and an Executive Headteacher, Nicholas John, an experienced Camden headteacher who brings a strong focus on the quality of provision. He is supported by three Heads of School. If working as part of a collaborative, forward‑thinking federation appeals to you, we would be delighted to hear from you.

About the Role

This role is central to the smooth running of the H3 Federation’s business unit. You will provide efficient and proactive administrative support across a wide range of school functions, including admissions, behaviour and attendance, student services, inclusion, HR and basic finance. Accuracy in managing data, particularly through our MIS (Arbor), and professionalism in handling information are essential.

You will also help with the day‑to‑day operation of a busy school office, offering a warm welcome on reception when required, responding to enquiries and supporting staff, pupils and families. The role requires someone who is organised, calm under pressure and confident using ICT, with strong communication skills and a flexible, team‑focused approach.

In this position, you will contribute to a positive and well‑organised environment across our three schools, supporting our commitment to high standards, safeguarding and excellent service. Further details are available in the full job description.

Safeguarding

H3 Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Where applicable, applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service and online media checks. It is an offence to apply for a role at the school if you know that you are barred from regulated activity with children.
